Sherrard Roe is pleased to announce that Michael Stahl has joined the firm as its new Chief Operating Officer, bringing more than fifteen years of leadership experience helping professional services firms create scalable commercial and operational infrastructure, in industries spanning legal services, healthcare technology, architecture/ engineering, and management consulting.
In his new role, Stahl will oversee the firm’s business operations and strategic initiatives, helping position Sherrard Roe for continued growth while enhancing the delivery of services to clients and supporting the firm’s attorneys and professional staff.
“We are delighted to welcome Michael to Sherrard Roe,” said Management Committee Member Andrea Sinclair, who also led the firm’s COO search. “Michael brings a valuable combination of experience, skill, and forward momentum that will support and guide the firm’s operations and strategic development.”
Stahl joins Sherrard Roe from Harbor Global, a private equity-backed global consulting firm serving leading law firms and Fortune 150 legal departments, where he served as Chief Integration Officer and General Counsel and was a member of the executive leadership team. Prior to Harbor Global, Stahl served as Chief Commercial Officer for Barge Design Solutions and its consulting subsidiary, Thrivence LLC, where he launched new recurring revenue models, implemented technology solutions, and generated significant operational efficiencies and cost savings. He also co-founded and served as CEO of Integrative Health Centers, a healthcare technology company focused on expanding access to mental health services in underserved communities.
Stahl holds a J.D. with distinction from Stanford Law School, a Master of Science from Vanderbilt University, and a B.A. summa cum laude from Georgetown University.
“I’m honored to join a firm built by first-class professionals with deep Nashville roots and a genuine commitment to outstanding client service and civic engagement,” said Stahl. “I look forward to helping the team build on that foundation.”
Stahl’s arrival coincides with the retirement of David Rue, who has led the firm’s management and operations since 2023.
