Jaz Boon Appointed to the Metro Nashville Electric Power Board

Sherrard Roe is pleased to announce that firm member Jaz Boon has been appointed to the Electric Power Board of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

Jaz will replace current board member Anne Davis upon her retirement from serving a five-year term on the board. Upon Jaz’s nomination, Mayor Freddie O’Connell said, “I’m grateful for Anne’s five years of service and look forward to the perspective Jaz will bring through his experience working with NGOs and all levels of government, and his expertise in environmental law.”

Jaz is a member of the firm’s litigation practice, counseling clients on various business disputes and commercial matters, as well as environmental and health and safety compliance. Prior to joining the firm, Jaz served as an Assistant General Counsel at Bridgestone Americas, Inc. where he provided legal advice and support for the environmental, health and safety, and sustainability needs of the business. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Urban Green Lab and as Vice Chair of the Environmental Law Section of the Tennessee Bar Association.
