Sherrard Roe Sponsors American Constitution Society’s U.S. Supreme Court Preview

Sherrard Roe Voigt & Harbison was delighted to sponsor the Nashville Chapter of the American Constitution Society’s 2024 Annual U.S. Supreme Court Preview on Monday, November 18, 2024.
The event included lunch and a CLE discussion on the 2024-2025 U.S. Supreme Court term led by Elizabeth B. Wydra, President of the Constitutional Accountability Center (CAC).
Elizabeth Wydra has filed over 200 briefs on behalf of CAC and its clients, including “leading constitutional scholars and historians, state and local government organizations, groups such as the League of Women Voters and the AARP, and members of Congress.” Of those briefs, over a quarter of them were filed on behalf of members of Congress. Ms. Wydra has also argued a number of significant cases in the federal courts of appeals on a variety of matters, including immigration law, habeas corpus, and sovereign immunity.
The American Constitution Society for Law and Policy (ACS) is “the nation’s foremost progressive legal organization, with a diverse nationwide network that includes nearly 200 student and lawyer chapters, and progressive lawyers, students, judges, scholars, elected officials, and advocates.” Sherrard Roe attorneys Dewey Branstetter and Bill Harbison serve on the Board of Advisors of ACS Nashville and Hunter Branstetter serves as the chapter’s Advisory Board Liaison and previously served as their President from 2015-2019.
