Sherrard Roe Welcomes New Associates to the Firm

Sherrard Roe Voigt & Harbison, PLC is pleased to announce that Kate Pearce DeWitt and Carrie Wintle Granger have joined the firm as associates.

Kate Pearce DeWitt joins the firm’s Corporate, Healthcare, and Litigation practices. Kate earned her law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where she served as the Research Editor and Staff Editor for the Tennessee Law Review, and as a research assistant for Professors Valorie Vojdik and Wendy Bach. While in law school, she served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Deborah C. Stevens of the Circuit Court of Knox County. She was also a summer associate at Sherrard Roe while in law school. Kate graduated summa cum laude from Elon University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in environmental studies.

Carrie Wintle Granger joins the firm’s Trusts, Estates & Private Wealth Group. Carrie earned her law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and a Cheek Business Law Scholar. During her tenure at Vanderbilt, she served as a legal writing teaching assistant for Professor Amy Enix and research assistant for Professor Jeffrey Schoenblum. While in law school, Carrie also gained valuable legal experience as a summer associate and by clerking at Sherrard Roe. Prior to law school, she worked at KPMG from 2019 through 2022 where she participated in engagements to audit PCAOB and AICPA client financials, transactions and internal controls and supervised the audit plan. Carrie received her Master of Accountancy from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management in 2018 and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 2017 from the University of South Dakota.
