Kate Pearce DeWitt is a member of the firm’s Corporate, Healthcare, and Litigation practices, focusing on commercial transactions and litigation and executive compensation and employment matters.
A graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law, Kate served as the Research Editor and Staff Editor for the Tennessee Law Review, and as a research assistant for Professors Valorie Vojdik and Wendy Bach. While in law school, she served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Deborah C. Stevens of the Circuit Court of Knox County. Kate was also a summer associate at Sherrard Roe while in law school.
Kate graduated summa cum laude from Elon University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in environmental studies. Prior to law school, she served as an AmeriCorps at the Martha O’Bryan Center and as the Client Outreach Manager at Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.
