Tennessee Bar Association 34th Annual Health Law Forum

Enjoying a decades-long relationship with the Tennessee Bar Association Health Law Section, Sherrard Roe Voigt & Harbison is delighted to continue its support as a sponsor of the 2022 TBA Health Law Forum on October 20-21 and TBA Health Law Primer on October 19. SRVH Member John Voigt served on the Health Law Section’s inaugural Executive Committee and remained until Member Mark Ison joined nearly ten years ago. In his current role as executive committee vice chair, Ison is producing the Health Law Primer. He will be elevated to chair during the Health Law Forum on October 21.

Now in its 34th year, the Health Law Forum is the Tennessee Bar Association’s largest continuing education offering and is widely acknowledged as one of the premier health law programs in the country. Drawing industry leaders as both speakers and attendees, forum topics include health care fraud and enforcement, healthcare reimbursement, risk management, artificial intelligence and machine-based learning issues, HIPAA, and updates on federal and Tennessee laws impacting the healthcare industry.

For those newer to the health care practice, the 22nd annual Health Law Primer is a half-day CLE program providing a general overview of some of the most important and frequently encountered topics of health care law. Seasoned healthcare leaders will deliver practical tips to navigate real-world situations in the strongly regulated healthcare industry.

Of special note, SRVH Member Chris Sabis is scheduled to present during the Health Law Forum on October 21. Sabis and co-presenter Rachel Rose will discuss fraud, e-records, and information technology in healthcare. Sabis writes and frequently speaks about the latest developments and decisions concerning the False Claims Act.
